Once the application is installed and run it automatically detects all connected storage devices. This helps to select the drive and start the scanning process.

Depending on the amount of data stored, the scanning process takes time. Not only this, if you don’t have time you can pause the scan and resume it according to your convenience.

Now, let’s learn how to use ReclaiMe to recover data from NAS.

How to use ReclaiMe to Recover Data from NAS?

To recover data from NAS storage follow the steps below:

  1. Download and install ReclaiMe
  2. Connect NAS disks to the PC. While doing so make sure you turn off the power and plug out the wall socket. Also, we suggest labeling the NAS disks so that you know where to put them back.

Note: When you connect NAS drives to Windows if you receive a message to Initialize disk or even Format don’t do it.

  1. Now, select the NAS volume you need to recover and click Start. If the NAS you are using is btrfs-based you can find it under the BTRFS section. For other NASes, look under the Linux md-raid or Linux LVM section.
  2. Wait for the process to complete. Once done select the file and check their quality using the Preview pane.
Note: If the array is not shown in ReclaiMe File Recovery, you will need to recover the RAID configuration. This too can be done through ReclaiMe Free RAID Recovery software. Once the parameters are determined you can click Run ReclainMe to recover data.

ReclaiMe Performance

ReclaiMe is a great program, we can say this as we were able to recover important lost files that no other data recovery tool was able to get for us. We tried the program on a 500 GB hard disk from which we intentionally deleted some files, games, photos. To scan this drive ReclaiMe took 40 minutes. After the scan was done it displayed all results in the right pane with a preview pane.

To confirm if the file we are looking for is detected we selected it and used a preview pane to check its content. Once we had the file by clicking the Save button and selecting the destination folder, we were able to recover the files.

Conclusion: ReclaiMe Review

Certainly, this is the easiest and hassle-free process plus extensive scanning made ReclaiMe a must-have tool. Using this great data recovery tool, we were able to recover all deleted data. After trying similar products, we can see ReclaiMe is a fantastic tool to recover lost files. Even if you have a few deleted files or a huge number of them give ReclaiMe a try. Trust us you will not be disappointed. Once you try this tool let us know what you like most.
