The movie featured a computer so fantastic it could understand human speech and analyze bio metric data. Fast forward to now, we have computers that are actually even better than HAL.

The world of technology moves fast. Computers are no longer just machines that are kept on desks. Indeed, the hottest trend in tech right now is wearable tech. Gadgets like smartwatches feel less like computers and more like accessories we can easily incorporate into our lives.

Using wearable items are more convenient than using a computer. Of course, before we get into more detail about these gadgets, we should remind you that these gadgets rely upon a Wi-Fi connection and therefore, would need protection from a VPN software before to ensure they are secure.

No, this is not an ad for Blade Runner. Microsoft has invented HoloLens, a pair of goggles that can project holograms. This gadget, inconceivable just a decade ago, uses 3D printing technology to recreate a real-life object and project it in a digital format.

Wearers of the goggles can transport themselves to a landscape recreated with digital objects, whether it’s your own bedroom or the surface of Jupiter. What could possibly be more sci-fi?

In the future, you might not even need to buy any gadgets for things like playing music. Several companies, mainly Google, now use temporary tech tattoos. The ID wristband is a high-tech wristband similar to the type you would get at clubs or concerts. Instead of a burly bouncer checking the wristband, it can automatically allow the wearer to enter various secured areas. Disney is already using a MagicBand to allow access to wearers at crowded Disneyland areas.
