Mobile gaming has gained staggering popularity over time. Both Android and iOS have outshined the gaming experience on mobile. With the advent of mobile phones, emergence of mobile apps is escalating in merely months.

Simply browse through the app stores and you will find countless of games belonging to different categories. Whether its adventure, board games or stealth games, these mobile platforms have games available for every sort of gamer.

Now without ado, let’s move on to the list of the top 4 Android and iOS games.

PUBG Mobile

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, PUBG for short, has brought a swing in battle royale gaming after its initial release in 2017 and since then it has been deemed as a smash hit in modern survival games. The popularity of its mobile version released this year was of no surprise either.

Being released in March 2018 it has already reached over 10 million downloads on the Google Play Store. But what actually PUBG Mobile a real sensation is that it was released on both the IOS and Android platforms at once.

Its mobile version is free-to-play unlike its PC version, with in-app purchasable components. Since, it is based on the foundation of battle-royale gaming, one can predict how the gameplay would be.

The game provides a platform that accommodates 100 people in one map. The objective is to use the weapons, artillery and vehicles to help the player survive and be the last man standing on the island. Tencent, the developers of PUBG, have also released an Android emulator which can be used to connect the PUBG app to the PC version of the game.

Fortnite

Its official, 2024 is the prime time for battle royale games. The PC version of Fortnite took the gaming industry by storm. Released after PUBG, Fornite also follows nearly the exact institution but to us it seems like an advanced version, touch-up version of Minecraft and PUBG.

Fortnite mobile version is free-to-play and available for download on the Apple App store as of now. The game’s concept is same as PUBG’s; one map, 100 players, survive and build your forte till you are the last one last.

One bonus point that goes to the Fortnite app is that whatever purchases you made on the PC version are spontaneously available on your mobile game as well. Its Android version will be released later this year.

Monument Valley 2

Monument Valley proved to be a great success and later in 2018, its sequel Monument Valley 2 was released. The mechanics and gameplay of both the games is similar. The player has to solve interesting puzzles to move complete the paths.

The only addition to its sequel is that a new playable second character has been introduced in the game. The game, just like its first version, is not free to play. The new version costs $4.99 in the Google Play Store.

Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO brought an uproar in the mobile gaming industry in mid of 2016. Unlike the games previously mentioned, Pokemon GO is an augmented reality game which allows the player to move to places in real life, battle other Pokémon trainers and go to Pokeshops for item restock, all in the real world.

Most people thought the game died out since after some time the idea got repetitive and boring but the now has frequent updates and events for the players to enjoy.

Developed by one of the top mobile application developers, Niantic, the game now has the ability to even trade Pokemon with other players. So make sure to catch them all, before someone else does.
